Academic Documents
Romanian University documents requiring Apostille authentication or legalization for use abroad, including Diplomas, Certificate of Completion of Studies, and Certificates of Enrolment and Graduation must be pre-authenticated by CNRED - National Centres for the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (Centrul National de Recunoastere si Echivalare a Diplomelor.
Certificates issued in Romania by pre-university institutions require pre-authentication by the respective County School Inspectorates / Buest School Inspectorate for subsequent authentication with an Apostille Stamp from the Office of the Prefect.

Corporate documents
A Romanian Certificates of Status shows the company’s up-to-date status and confirms details of the company, including company name, status, activity, share capital, directors and shareholders. Electronic certificates are available online, but paper certificates are required for an Apostille Stamp.

Criminal Record Certificates
Requests for a Romanian criminal record certificate (Certificat de Cazier Judiciar) can be submitted to a Police Station in Romania.
From abroad, requests can be submitted to a police station in Romania through an authorised representative (a power of attorney is required) or through a Romanian embassy or consulate (applications through embassies can take 2-3 months).
Romanian citizens can also obtain their criminal record certificate online through the hub.mai.gov.ro platforms (confirming their identity at a police station or through a Romanian bank card):
