Consular Legalization

Legalization is a procedure used when a Benin document needs to be certified for official use abroad. Each document requires a double certification: first by the authorities of Benin and secondly by the authorities of the country where the documents will be used (the receiving country). This second certification, which is generally provided by the embassy or consulate representing the receiving country in Benin, confirms the first certification and so validates the document for official use in the receiving country.

Certified Translation
