Yes - Moldova is a member of the Apostille Convention.

Moldovan documents can be legalized for use abroad with an Apostille Stamp when destined for other signatory countries without additional certification by the destination country.

When Moldovan documents are required for non-apostille countries, such as United Arab Emirates - Taiwan - Malaysia - Thailand - Zambia - Qatar they need additional authentication by the embassy of the destination country.

Apostilles on Moldovan birth, death and marriage certificates can be obtained from the Agency of Legal Information Resources (Ministry of Justice). Certificates issued prior to 24 February 1998 are not valid for an Apostille and a new official duplicate certificate must be obtained.

Apostille on documents in Moldova are normally obtained in 5-7 business days

Apostille on Moldova university degree and academic diplomas can be obtained from the Agency of Legal Information Resources (Ministry of Justice). Academic documents must be issued by an accredited educational institution and accompanied by confirmation from the educational institution that issued the certificate or from the Ministry of Education

Certificates issued after 1992 by educational institutions located in Transnistria can be authenticated with a Moldova Apostille when drawn up on model forms approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. Certificates must not include any seal or stamp with symbols not pertaining to the Republic of Moldova.

Applications for duplicate birth, death and marriage certificates from Moldova can be submitted online (electronic or mobile signature required), at the Direcţia audienţă şi eliberarea documentelor de stare civilă in Chisinau, at Centrele unificate de prestare a serviciilor publice (CUPS) or at a Moldovan Embassy or Consulate

The following countries are contracting states of the Vienna Convention:
