Can Israeli documents be legalized by Apostille?

Yes - Israel is a member of the Apostille Convention.

Israeli documents can be legalized for use abroad with an Apostille Stamp when destined for other signatory countries without additional certification by the destination country.

When Israeli documents are required for non-apostille countries, they need additional authentication by the embassy of the destination country.

How can I obtain an apostille for an Israeli birth, death or marriage certificate?

Israeli birth, death and marriage certificates can be authenticated with an Apostille Stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Birth and death certificates must have the Signature and seal of the Ministry of Interior. Marriage certificates require an authorized signature from the National Authority for Religious Services (Jewish marriages), Sharia Courts (Muslim marriages) or Ministry of Interior - Christian Communities (Christian marriages).

How can I obtain an Israeli Apostille on a Last Will and Testament?

Writs of Inheritance from the Registrar for Matters of Inheritance must have the authorized signature of an official from the Registrar for Matters of Inheritance in the area of residence where the writ was signed. Writs of Inheritance from the Judicial Courts must have the signature of the Chief Secretary of the Judicial Court where the writ was signed. In both cases, the original document is required and can be authenticated with an Apostille Stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
