Yes - Singapore acceded to the Apostille Convention in 2021.

Singapore documents can be legalized for use abroad with an Apostille Stamp when destined for other signatory countries without additional certification by the destination country.

When Singapore documents are required for non-apostille countries, such as United Arab Emirates - Taiwan - Malaysia - Thailand - Zambia - Qatar they need additional authentication by the embassy of the destination country.

Singapore Apostilles can be obtained for public and notarized documents including:

• Singapore birth, death and marriage certificates (including digital extracts)
• Muslim marriage certificates
• Criminal Certificates of Clearance (CoC) issued by the Singapore Police Force
• Divorce Certificates
• University diplomas
• Certificates of Origin, GMP certificates and other export documents certified by a Singapore Chamber of Commerce
• Certificates of Good Standing, Certified Company Extracts, Business Profiles and other documents certified by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority

Singapore birth and death certificates (paper certificates and digital extracts) issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, as well as civil and Muslim marriage certificates issued by the Marriage Registry, can be authenticated in Singapore with an Apostille Stamp issued by the Singapore Academy of Law.

Singapore Certificates of Clearance (criminal background checks) can be obtained from the Singapore Police Force

• Singapore citizens can apply for a Police Certificate of Clearance online (Singpass Digital ID required). Singapore Citizens are not required to submit fingerprints.
• Non-Singapore citizens may apply for a COC and complete the application online.

Singapore residents will be notified to book an appointment for the submission of fingerprints. Non-residents will be notified to mail in a set of fingerprints recorded at an authorised institution in their country of residence (e.g. at a Singapore Embassy or local police station).

Applicants for a Singapore CoC will also need to provide evidence that a COC is required and for what purpose (e.g. a letter from a foreign immigration authority or embassy). Non-Singapore Citizens applicants are no longer required to submit an Appeal to Apply for a COC.

Certificates will be sent by mail to the address indicated in the application.

Company registration certificates certified and issued by the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) can be authenticated with an Apostille Stamp from the Singapore Acedmy of Law. Companjy certifictaes include:

• Certificate Confirming Registration / Incorporation of an Entity (certifies that an entity is registered with ACRA in Singapore)
• Certified Company Extracts (a PDF copy of forms with / without attachments filed by business entities with ACRA, such as the company constitution, financial statements, incorporation of local companies and annual returns)
• Business Profile (basic entity information such as Unique Entity Number, name, business activities, date of incorporation and information of position holders or business owners or partners)
• Register of Members
• Register of Directors

Apostille Stamps in Singapore are normally obtained from the Singapore Academy of Law in 1-2 business days

To obtain an Apostille Stamp for a Singapore birth, death or marriage certificate, an original paper certificate is required or a digital extract issued by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority or Marriage Registry.

To obtain an Apostille Stamp to authenticate a Singapore Certificate of Clearance, the original certificate is required, issued by the Singapore Police Force

Certified digital extracts of Singapore birth and death certificates are available online from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority

Extracts are issued in digital format only. Birth extracts are restricted to the certificate holder or parent. Death extracts are restricted to close relatives of the deceased person.

Certificates of Good Standing and Corporate Compliance and Financial Profiles (CCFP) for Singapore companies can be obtained from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

• A Certificate of Good Standing certifies the live status of a company registered in Singapore
